For those passengers who have booked a vacation package, return ground transfers are included. You will not need a separate voucher for the transfer. Upon clearing the secure airport area look for the tour operator's representative in uniform (or nearby kiosk) and the ground representative will lead you to the transfer vehicle.
Confirm your return airport transfer with the tour operator representative located at the resort. He/She will be on site daily for a few hours and can be reached by phone when not on site. Details are located at the tour operator's desk generally located in the hotel lobby.

Fly to Cancun (airport code: CUN) and enjoy a scenic drive south to the fascinating Riviera Maya which stretches over 150 kms from Cancun to Tulum. The beaches are magnificent. Since many of the hotels in this area are somewhat isolated, each offers a wide range of activities and dining alternatives. Many properties are of the luxury standard, so if you are stressed out and deserve pampering, this may well be the ideal choice for you.
In Playa del Carmen itself, once merely the stopping off point for the ferry to Cozumel, there has been considerable development but the town itself has kept its old world charm. The shopping and restaurants here offer a good variety, and the whole town is very photogenic. For more information on tourism and activities, visit: http://www.playatoursdirect.com/
Since you are practically on the doorstep of Tulum (http://www.todotulum.com/tulum-activities/), there is no excuse not to visit this fascinating site. The only walled city built by the Maya, and dating from the 16th century, it is right on a cliff overlooking the sea.

ABOUT THE YUCATAN PENINSULA
The Yucatan peninsula is located in the country of Mexico south of New Orleans, Louisiana. The peninsula is bounded to the North and West with the Gulf of Mexico, at East with the Caribbean Sea, and at the South with the countries of Belize and Guatemala.
The major portion of the peninsula is based on calcareous rock, and is constituted by jungle without surface rivers, but with a lot of cenotes, big holes with water, and subterraneous rivers connecting those cenotes. The Yucatan peninsula is well known by the endless wonders of The Mayan World. This land is rich in wildlife and tropical jungles that envelop ancient archeological sites. The mysteriousness of the Mayan People still exists in this land. Land was sacred for the ancient Mayans. They worshipped the gods of nature, building temples in their honor, making offerings in caves and cenotes and revering the birds and animals they saw around them.
Botanists have identified approximately 8,000 species of flowering plants, 600 bird species and approximately 1,200 species of butterfly. For almost 100 million years the Yucatan peninsula developed in isolation, leading to the evolution of endemic life forms, different to those found in neighboring regions. It was also a land bridge between North and South America. Tropical plants and animals from both continents are found in the area.
